Pollen Trio - 230509

Formerly known as Austin Benjamin Trio, this new release by Canberra's Pollen Trio follows on from their collaborative 3" with Seaworthy. The six pieces on this record highlight a shift in compositional direction, using full scale improvisation and loose songform ideas in a single day recording session with label boss Shoeb Ahmad. '2305059' also sees the band work with c.s.k.a, who contributes 'electronic interventions' throughout the record amongst the melodic wash and microscopic sound design. A new start for a great outfit!
